BeFrugal vs TopCashback: which pays more?

BeFrugal vs TopCashback has no single winner. Neither is simply "the better" shopping portal: on any given store, one of them pays more, and it isn't always the same one. If you've moved past Rakuten chasing higher rates, you've probably already landed on these two, since both sit near the top of the market. BeFrugal vs TopCashback rates: close, and store-dependent

Take Lowe's: BeFrugal is showing 1% right now against TopCashback's 0.5%. Switch to Macy's: BeFrugal's 13% against TopCashback's 8%. The gap, and sometimes the leader, changes from one store to the next and over time, so check the numbers on the day you buy. Some of these are "up to" ceilings rather than a flat rate, so the "up to" label matters as much as the headline number.

Whichever's higher on the store in front of you is your winner, for that purchase. Neither portal is categorically ahead of the other, and our 2026 ranking of the best cashback portals puts both in the top tier for different reasons: BeFrugal more often pays the higher rate on the stores it lists, while TopCashback covers more stores.

Payouts: both flexible, slightly different minimums

Both beat Rakuten's quarterly wait, and they're close to each other too:

• TopCashback. No minimum to cash out via PayPal, Venmo, or ACH bank transfer; only a handful of gift cards carry one.
• BeFrugal. Most payouts go out the next business day after you request them. PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, and direct deposit have a one-cent minimum; a paper check needs a $25 minimum.

The small print that might decide it

• Rate-match guarantees, on both sides. TopCashback will beat a higher rate you can show from another site (BeFrugal included) by 10%, so $11 where the other site pays $10, if you claim within 7 days of your cashback tracking. BeFrugal matches a higher rate you find elsewhere at 125% of that rate, capped at $25 per transaction, but only within 24 hours. Longer window versus bigger multiplier: pick whichever matches how fast you actually go looking.
• Interface and habit. Both are plain and functional. Pick whichever you'll actually remember to open before checkout.
• Confirmation windows. Cashback on both sits pending for the store's return window (often weeks) before it's payable. That is how long cashback takes on every portal, so it is not a difference between these two.

So don't pick one forever. Check the rate table before each purchase and use whoever's leading; these two just tend to be near the top when you look.
