Cashback estimator

Shopping portals pay you back for starting your purchase there, in cash, airline miles, or card points, on top of whatever a credit card already gives you. The trouble is comparing them: 5% cashback and 3 miles per dollar aren't the same kind of thing until you put a value on the miles. This tool does that math for you, and the point value stays on screen so you can change it to your own.

Enter the spend amount and whichever rate you're looking at (from a portal's own page, or a store page on this site). Fill in more than one row and it ranks them for you, cash, miles, and points side by side, on the same spend.

A note on stacking

A portal rate is only one layer. The same purchase can often also earn a credit card's own rewards and a coupon or promo code, stacked on top of the portal, not instead of it. See stacking a portal, card, and coupon for how that works, and check whether a purchase actually tracked if a portal payout ever seems to be missing.
