Welcome to CheckBeforeYouShop. Using the site means you're okay with the following.

What this site is

CheckBeforeYouShop tracks and compares publicly posted shopping-portal rates (cashback, airline miles, credit-card points). It's an information service: we are not a portal, a bank, or a loyalty program, and we're not affiliated with any of them. The site is operated by PickaPoint LLC, a Georgia (USA) limited liability company. These terms are an agreement between you and PickaPoint LLC.

Accuracy: the honest version

Rates change constantly and portals occasionally post errors. Every rate we show carries the time we last confirmed it and, where useful, the original wording we read. We work hard to be current (see our data status page), but always verify the rate on the portal itself before shopping. The portal's own posted rate, and its terms, are what you'll actually earn. CheckBeforeYouShop isn't liable for portal decisions, including denied or adjusted payouts.

Valuations are assumptions

Points and miles have no fixed cash value. Where the site offers dollar-equivalent views, they're computed from clearly labeled, adjustable assumptions: starting points for your own judgment, not financial advice.

Accounts

Free accounts power rate alerts and email notifications. Premium is an optional paid subscription, $5 a month or $50 a year, billed through Stripe. It also unlocks premium on our sister site PointAuctions.com, which is operated by the same company. You can cancel any time from your billing page; you keep premium through the end of the period you paid for. Don't abuse the service (no scraping the site to death, no automated bulk account creation). We may close accounts that do.

You're welcome to reference our data with attribution and a link. Wholesale republication of the dataset isn't allowed without permission.

Changes

We'll update these terms as the product grows; the "last updated" date above reflects the current version. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
